Problem: The app connects to a blender, allowing a user to "create your own" smoothie. This flow needs to be intuitive, while offering, freedom, control, and flexiblity.
Solution: Create an MVP of the CYO user flow
Tools: Sketch, Marvel, Invision, Whiteboard, Post-its, Paper, Pen and a lot of agile sprints
Role*: UX Designer, Information Architect, Usability Tester, User Researcher
*I started this project in the "Define" phase within the Double Diamond Framework.
Users will physically add ingredients to the cup and see ingredients added in the digital cup (in the app). I sketched the "Create Your Own" user flow, which was particularly challenging to visualize from a functionality standpoint because of the high interaction.
Through discussion and testing, we moved away from a guided build to a freeform build to give users more control and freedom.
From usability testing, we found that users did not know how to finish their build. The "Blend" button was not visible to guide users. I explored this concept in the next iteration.
Continue to user test to remove friction and pain points.
